Privacy policy

Noto is a personal awareness app developed by Verso Solutions. It was designed around a simple principle: what you write is yours, and it stays on your device.
What data the app handles
The content you enter (noted moments, reflections, recaps, challenges, your name if you choose to add it) is saved exclusively on your device, in a local archive. It is never sent to us or to third parties. We have no way of reading it.
Local identifier. On first launch the app generates a random code (UUID) stored in the device keychain, used only to tell your local archive apart. It is never transmitted.
No account. The app requires no registration, email or sign-in.
What we do NOT do
- We do not collect personal data.
- We do not use analytics, profiling or advertising tools.
- We do not share anything with third parties.
- The app works entirely offline.
The same goes for this page: no cookies, no tracking tools.
Microphone and dictation
If you choose to dictate instead of typing, the app asks for access to the microphone and to the operating system's speech recognition. Transcription happens on the device when possible; otherwise it is handled by Apple under its own privacy policy. We never receive or store the audio.
Notifications
Reminders (such as the evening one) are local notifications, generated by the device itself: no server is involved.
Deleting your data
You can delete all data at any time from Settings → Delete everything inside the app, or by uninstalling the app. No copies exist anywhere else.
Changes to this notice
Any changes will be published on this page along with the update date.
